Experience
Dr. Unkefer graduated from Baylor
College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed an Internal Medicine and Dermatology Residency at the University of Florida - Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident.
​
Dr. Unkefer is a Board certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also Board Certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
​
Dr. Unkefer has more than 26 years of experience practicing dermatology and has a special interest in treating skin cancer, including performing Mohs micrographic surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Unkefer enjoys, running, fishing, flying small aircraft and spending time with his wife and two grown children.
